Select your graphic, which can be a logo or an icon. Then go to layer – auto trace.
This will create mask outlines of your graphic.
Now, apply the free saber plugin. I’ll link this below if you do not have it.
Go to customize core and set core type to layer mask.
Then set the glow intensity to 15% so we can see the graphic.
To animate this, you can keyframe the end offset or you can lower it’s value.
If you want, alt-click the stop for mask evolution and type time*100.
