Anson was a leading bandleader on America's West Coast from the 1920s till the 1960s, and his band was hugely popular in San Francisco. In the 1950s he returned to the recording studios to make a number of LPs; rather nostalgic in nature. This is one of them, but unusually with a string section added for this album. I don't have a recording date, but I presume late 1950s.
