"Overload" by Darwin [All Coins] | Geometry Dash 2.11
This time, Darwin went with more of a tech style, which is what StubbyPinata does. You can easily see that in the first part, especially in the block design. It's mainly focused around that shade of gray, but it also has a bunch of other small colors representing buttons and wires. You can still see that Darwin made it because of the arrows and glow. Later on it looks a bit more like a typical Darwin level, with different block designs and custom backgrounds. The effects in the custom backgrounds look similar to stuff he has done before. I really like the turning icon at 0:18. One thing I found weird is how he didn't use the custom orb design for every orb. At 0:28 you can see a good example of the custom orb design, but at 0:36 and 0:21 you can see some normal orbs. Those are just small mistakes to an otherwise cool level. This will most likely get Epic 8* :)
👉 Overall coin rating: Bronze. 1/4. The coin is slightly harder than the normal route, but it's obvious how you get it and it's not original at all. For an 8 star level, a little bit more is expected out of the difficulty as well.
- 1st coin: Bronze. The coin is found at 0:29, where you have to go up to the blue pad instead of below. I actually did that instinctively on my first run, so I think a lot of people will end up one-attempting this. After that, you need to do a jump over a triple spike, and another easy jump to return to the normal route. The normal route has a double spike instead of a triple spike, so the coin route is obviously a little bit harder, but it's not enough for Silver. For that, it would need a little bit more to it, for example a collectible earlier on, or making this coin a collectible and unlocking the coin later on in another route. It's just not enough with simply a triple spike jump to get Silver. Making the coin more hidden and more original would certainly help as well.
