Populate Archicad Models with Information from External Consultants Quickly
Be among the first to explore new ways to efficiently collaborate with consultants as you exchange data on complex projects. Update Properties - now available as a technology preview - enables you to populate your model with consultant data, without losing the ability to edit it.
Archicad helps you save time and reduce errors by updating property values in the host file, and hotlink modules simultaneously. No need to open and modify those hotlink modules one by one!

Archicad now has new ways to streamline collaboration with consultants by updating properties in hotlink modules - available as a technology preview.
In this video we will be using a complex twin tower project with the same generic floors in both A and B towers as an example.
Watch and learn how the Update Properties feature allows you to efficiently populate your model with information from consultants - whether they belong to the host file or hotlink modules.
For the repeating floors, we link external Hotlink Modules to the host file to quickly get the result we want. In addition, an Interactive Element Schedule has been prepared and we’ll use it for data exchange of the Partition walls’ General Ratings values.
Values set by external consultants are now editable when you enable "Property Update in Hotlink Modules" and "Export Property Values from Schedule" - you no longer need to open and modify them individually.
