Using high voltage panels on a 12 volt battery is easy. In this video I show you the minimum components needed to charge a 12 volt battery using a solar farm sized solar panel through an MPPT charge controller. No inverter in this setup, just connecting through the protected 12v output on the charge controller and a quick explanation of why I did that instead of connecting loads straight off the battery.
