Episode 83
Finally something brand new - the Adventure Cove of the Columbus Zoo. There's no better way to describe these developments other than to say they're unlike anything we've seen before. A 60 foot underwater acrylic tunnel with pinnipeds swimming beside, above and below you in what is now the zoo's largest marine habitat. With the Cove is the Animal Encounters Village at Jungle Jack's Landing - a highly thematic section where you have a chance to see up to 50 ambassador animals rotate between exhibits that depict neighborhoods, parks and businesses. You could find a porcupine by the tree swing, toucans in a backyard, tortoises in a smoothie shop, and even a lemur that does flips! And to finish it all off, the adventure continues with a massive interactive touch pool at the Stingray Bay. On this episode you'll find out why people say they didn't expect this from the Columbus Zoo.
