This Unreal Engine sound tutorial is actually very simple and has only one catch, which is that UE operates only using WAV file format. Other formats, like MP3 will not be imported in the correct manner for quick and easy use as sound cues. So, Unreal Engine audio format is without any doubt WAV for now.
