Trucker sent to prison for 16 years for unprovoked hate crime against Black man in Oregon Arby’s
A Colorado trucker was sentenced Thursday to 16 years in a federal prison for nearly killing a Black man by slashing his neck in an unprovoked attack inside an Arby’s at an eastern Oregon truck stop.
Nolan Levi Strauss, 27, pleaded guilty in what appears to mark only the fourth federal hate crime prosecution in the past decade in Oregon.
