MY FIRST FINISHED 2.2 PART!!!
Out of everything I've worked on in the 5 years I have been an active GD player, this is BY FAR the part I'm most proud of in every way.
This part is inspired by games from my childhood, namely New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Sonic CD, with touches of Minecraft and a variety of old Adobe Flash games. The factories in the second room are actually inspired by an oil refinery that I live a few miles away from!
Massive thank you to Wespdx for building the gameplay for this part and recording the footage you see here, and thank you to Nikrodox, DarkCacti, Rynoxious, Linear and Iris for helping to pull some of the ideas together.
