To change opacity in Davinci Resolve fast, follow these simple steps. First, add a video and a basic text to your timeline. Then, select the text and open up the inspector panel. Within the settings tab, scroll down to the composite settings and adjust the opacity to your desired amount.
If you want to change the opacity over time, it can be done quickly. Move the play head to the start of the text and set the opacity to 0. Click on the diamond button next to it to create a starting keyframe. Then, move the play head slightly forward and set the opacity to 1. To see the generated keyframes, click on the button provided. Next, move the play head close to the end of the text and click on the diamond button next to the opacity again. Finally, move the play head to the end and set the opacity to 0, and that's it. Your opacity will now change smoothly over time.
