Difference between a Job and a Fail

The job requires you to design a landing page header. Five designers send their projects and they're on five levels of skill.

The truth is that only two of them stand a chance of being considered, and levels 1, 2 and 3 are going to be rejected right away.

The problem? The MAJORITY of junior designers are at level 3.
That is NOT enough and if you get hired on this level it's just pure luck.

But don't worry, in this series I'm showing you how to progress between levels and get to level 4 or 5, where all the magic happens!

This is a 100% FREE UX/UI design course - part 6 that talks about the differences between beginner UI designs.

I cover colors - how they clash or complement each other, consitency of spacing, fonts, corner roundness and even images. Then we analyse the grid, layout, spacing and hierarchy using the hierarchy strips method, red square method and natural progression.

Final check is basic accessibility via contrast and clarity of messaging. Of course there are even more changes between the levels but I'll leave them for you to spot yourself!
