Germs in the Bottle

Sanitize: To clean something and reduce the number of germs to a safe level, usually with soap or mild cleaning agents. It’s often done to maintain hygiene.
Disinfect: To use chemicals to kill almost all germs, bacteria, or viruses on a surface, making it safer. Disinfecting is more thorough than sanitizing.
Germs: Microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, or fungi that can cause illness. They are often invisible to the naked eye.
Germ-free: A state in which no harmful germs or microorganisms are present, typically after cleaning, sanitizing, or disinfecting.
