The Voodoo Queens were signed to Too Records and were part of North London's indie punk/riot grrrl scene.
Anjali Bhatia started the band after leaving Mambo Taxi ( she was the drummer) in 1992, she was joined by her sister Rajni, cousin Anjula, and non-family members drummer Sunny & Ella Guru.
Kenuwee Head was released in 1993, the only album recorded for Too Pure "Chocolate Revenge" was released in 1994 and did not feature the track "Kenuwee Head".
