Pro Designer using Comic Sans FOR REAL!
Ah, Comic Sans! The Worst Typeface of All Time! Let's break the stereotypes a little and try to design a modern interface using the infamous Comic Sans MS font.
What can you do when characters lack proportion and have seemingly random baselines? Well, you adjust - by hand and optically so that UI design looks good.
This exercise is of course not to promote using crazy typefaces like that, but rather to show you how important proper layout and alignment are. Even with the best of fonts, if your layout is wrong it will affect the entire design.
Good UX is all about clarity, readability and ease of use, and those UI principles can contribute to great UX in a big, big way.
