Diagonal kitchen floor rip out to finish. This series of videos goes through the rip out and removal of an old ceramic tile floor, to the installation of Schluter Ditra and a new porcelain tile floor. The existing kitchen tile floor was all falling apart. The tile was not at all adhered to the floor and came up with very little effort. Once the tile was removed, Schluter Ditra was installed with a polymer modified thinset, and then the tile was installed on the Ditra with an unmodified thinset. The whole process is shown in the video. Also shown in this series is the installation of an oak threshold, an explanation of how Schluter Ditra works and how to install it on plywood.
