In 5 min, this video explains the Apple Event, as well as why I think the MacBook Air might replace the Pro.
Since it's a short video, there isn't really a use for timestamps.
I start off by giving a recap of the event. How the amazing M1 chip was announced that has amazing power and efficiency. This one chip is going into 3 respective Macs. The first Mac is the MacBook Air which starts at $999 and has a fanless design. They then announce a Mac Mini starting at $699, then a MacBook Pro at $1299. The battery life on these products are unreal btw. The Air is around 15hrs, and the Pro is around 20!
Now for comparison time. I talk about how the Air won't be able to maximize the potential of the M1 chip because the MacBook will still get got, and its fanless design means it'll throttle or it just won't be able to push out a ton of power for long periods of time. The Pro on the other hand has a fan, so it can push out more power for longer periods of time. However, the MacBook Air will still be an amazing and powerful laptop. Apple says it can edit 4k video! I concluded that the M1 Air will take customers that would have gotten the lower end Intel Pro, and the M1 Pro will take the people who would have gotten the higher-end Intel Pro. This provides a lot of savings in terms of bang for your buck.
Well, that was the video. Plz like, sub, and comment. Have a great day!
Also Apple plz fix your webcams. 720p is just trash for a 1k laptop these days.
