Today I'm going to show you how it's possible to delimit specific areas automatically by using Computer Vision and AI.
This solution intends to automate procedures that are normally done manually and it could help you with:
identify autonomously any area delimited by traffic cones
calculate the surface area in real time (with just a drone flying over the area)
send a real time alert if a person or any object is identified inside this area
count specific elements inside the delimited area
and much more ...
The project I built, was created to identify traffic cones placed on an agricultural field and delimit the areas using them as vertices.
This was done with a drone and traffic cones but it could work for any type of industry (whether it's manufacturing, security, farming, traffic, and so on), and with any type of already existing cameras like for example CCTV cameras.
