XSOLEIL - Hold It Down (Metal Remix)
First song of 2023!
Starting off the year with the debut song of the latest Nijisanji EN wave, Xsoleil. These guys have been super entertaining, and have already brought some unforgettable moments in the short time since their arrival. IMO, the beat to this song feels a little too samey compared to past NijiEN debut songs, like Stuck In The Abyss and Black Out, but Xsoleil themselves bring some great performances.
I'm trying out another style of metal I haven't fully dived deep into before, that being third-wave metalcore or "Scenecore", with bands like Bring Me The Horizon, Of Mice & Men, and A Day To Remember, among many others. I'm not the biggest fan of this subgenre, since it's a little too tame for my taste, but there are some elements of it I think are fitting for this song.
