Capernaum - the city of Jesus Christ an ancient city in Israel
Capernaum, an ancient city on the shores of Lake Galilee, was founded 500 years before the coming of Christ. Capernaum did not believe, and then Christ pronounced a curse over him: "And you Capernaum, ascended to heaven, you will be cast down to hell" (Matthew 11:23) The word of Christ was exactly fulfilled. Hell (Hebrew - Sheol) is nothingness. The city remains in this state to this day.
Today, in its place, you can see only ruins, remnants of walls, empty streets. All this has been painstakingly excavated by archaeologists in the last century.
