GDW: Orion - Dear Agony
Ginga Densetsu Weed: Orion is a sequel to Ginga Densetsu Weed (both made by Yoshihiro Takahashi) and it tells a story of Weed's offspring: Orion, Sirius, Rigel and Bellatrix. They are separated from their father when a sudden earthquake emerges making even the close by volcanoes active. The scalding lava begins to tear down Ohu's paradise and the dogs have no other option than to abandon the place in a hurry and hope all get out alive.
The rumours of Ohu's downfall spreaded fast and it didn't take long when dogs from all around the land begun to appear to Ohu and started to fight for its possession. One of the largest and most dangerous army of dogs was the Kurohabaki-clan, lead by the renegade usurper, Masamune. He gave his henchmen the order to kill every Ohu soldier who were still in the scenery. One of these dogs was Kisaragi, who was killed by Masamune's most trusted allie, Masashige.
During the earthquake, Orion was saved by his father's brother, Joe, who died after hitting his own head to a rock underwater.
Bellatrix was captured by the enemy but was later rescued by ninjadogs Shirozaru, Muu and Rara who came for Ohu's help right after they've heard the tragic news.
Rigel met up with an adult kai ken called Terumune who was the leader of Kurohabaki clan before being betrayed by his own son Masamune and chased after by his assassins. Terumune taught Rigel to fight and by that Rigel was able to stand agaist the enemy but sadly Terumune was too weakened by a sickness to defend himself and so he was killed.
Orion's closest brother, Sirius, wandered alone in a cold blizzard until he was found and saved by a pack of dogs leaded by three irish wolfhounds. The trio turned out to be the sons of Kamakiri - a sinister dog who had died many months ago for being Ohu's enemy. The sons came to avenge their father's death and to continue his footsteps by trying to conquer the place. They took Sirius to their pack and started to train him to their ways...
Another setpack followed when Gin and many other Ohu soldiers were captured and caged by humans. It was up to Weed's young puppies, Kisaragi's son Izo and some other dogs to defend Ohu's freedom and their own lifes. Luckily not all the Kurohabaki-clan's dogs were hostile and Orion and the others made good allies with them.
