Toontrack EZbass has a cool feature called the Audio Tracker that allows you to quickly generate MIDI and create a bass line from an audio file like a guitar track, drum track, and even other bass tracks.
It's a fast way to create a bass line that complements your track. It's a game-changer for composers and musicians alike.
You can also head to the Drums & Keys tab and simply drag & drop a drum MIDI file, piano MIDI file, etc... and EZbass will generate MIDI and create a bass line that goes along with the MIDI you dropped in.
From there you can quickly modify the bass MIDI or select similar bass MIDI that was played by a professional bass player.
EZbass is packed with a lot more awesome stuff, but just those two features alone make it worth the money for any composer or musician.
