This MariaDB tutorial will walk you through the results of the recent poll on MariaDB vector capabilities that was conducted by Percona's founder Peter Zaitsev.
According to the MariaDB community, MariaDB's introduction of MariaDB vector capabilities won't impact user choices when deciding whether to move from MySQL to MariaDB.
There have been 93 votes in a poll related to open source vectors that has been started by Percona's founder Peter Zaitsev, and around 44 out of those 93 people (43.71%) said no and the rest either said yes or that they're already running MariaDB which makes the question not applicable.
This MariaDB tutorial will also tell you that vectors in MariaDB Server are something that is new, so no matter what happens, user thoughts around MariaDB vectors are likely to change as the vectors mature.
It will be interesting to see how many people switch to MariaDB because of the MariaDB vector addition in the long run. Subscribe to this channel to see that, and until next time.
