Hello 2019!! Are you ready for a new year, new you? ME TOO! We always do the Daniel fast to start the year. It is a biblical fast, but many people do it for the health benefits, or weight loss. I share what we ate today, and go over what the Daniel fast is (short version), and the health benefits of it.

Fruit Cereal ~
1 apple chopped
1 banana sliced
4-6 strawberries sliced
1/3 cup walnuts
1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
1 cup blueberries
1 cup uncooked old fashioned oats

Unsweetened almond milk

Sugarfree Granola~
4 cups old fashioned raw oats
1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
1/3 cup sliced almonds
1/4 cup raisons
1/4 cup dried cranberry
1 tbs cinnamon
5-7 dates chopped

3 tsp pumpkin pie spice
3 tsp vanilla
1 tsp maple extract
1/4- 1/2 cup coconut oil
melt together then mix into oat mixture
Bake at 250 degrees for 20 minutes
stir ever 5 minutes

remove from oven, and let cool. This stores in a jar for months.

Santa Fe Burritos~
1 can black beans rinsed, and drained
1/2 red bell pepper
1 medium tomato chopped
1/2 can black olives sliced
1/4 head of lettuce chopped
1 large avocado chopped
handful of cilantro chopped
1/4 red onion chopped
1 cup (or can) of corn

Dressing~
Juice of 1 lime
1/4 to 1/2 cup taco seasoning
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp honey

Wish then dress salad. Fill veggie, or wheat tortillas. This is a great dinner, or lunch!
