Previously attempted during the Kid A period under the early name of "Bombers," the best way to describe "4 Minute Warning" is Thom Yorke soothingly trying to reassure himself that impending nuclear destruction is purely metaphorical. Despite this, we're left unsure of whether his closing message should be taken as cautionary, since our surroundings do indeed contain infinite potential ways that could lead to our very real demise. Speaking in 2006, Yorke suggested this song may have been pushed aside for inclusion on In Rainbows due to its overly simplistic nature.
Radiohead released In Rainbows under a unique "pay-what-you-want" format in 2007. Honoring the spirit of this, we are making our remaster of In Rainbows Disk 1 publicly available to download. Disk 2 will not be available outside of YouTube.
