Hi and thanks for checking out this Unreal Engine beginner tutorial on how you can create an invisible / cloaking effect in this game engine. The same Unreal invisibility tutorial will present a simple modification of opacity and translucency inside of the material editor. This includes only two nodes that influence these parameters.
That way, it will be possible to attain a transparent material that mimics the effect like the cloaking devices in the Star Trek universe or the Predator movies. Furthermore, the same Unreal Engine transparent texture will also be open to simple, one-parameter editing that will allow a range of translucency. With it, you can make invisible characters in Unreal Engine, but also any other mesh that can take on the same invisible material.
