Navigate to the directory you want to check. For example, to navigate to the root directory, type:

Type the following command to display the list of directories in the current directory:

ls -l
This will display the list of directories in a long format, including permissions, owner, size, and modification time.
If you only want to display the names of the directories, you can use the following command:

ls -d */
This will display only the names of the directories in the current directory.
