Understanding Curves in Photoshop
How can you explain curved and RGB channels?
I often try to think of best ways to present how certain tool affect your image. The fact is, when we work in photoshop, work on contrasts and colors, we actually do not apply colors but we change values of lights: red light, green, light, and blue light. These three at 100% intensity give us Color white (complete brightness), and at 0% intensity leave us with complete darkness.
If we would take away one of the light from complete brightness we will be left with mix of remaining two. For example, if we take away blue light, we will be left with red and green, which in connection give us yellow!
Mixing lights in different values will be give us whole spectrum of colors!
