My first Desi wedding in England! 😍
Attended the wedding of the year! My friend got married in England and I flew from Pakistan to attend. It was an amazing experience as it was my first desi wedding I attended outside of Pakistan.
This wedding was not the same as the ones I have seen in Pakistan before. It was very modest and a calm yet fun affair. Particularly loved the speeches at the wedding. The food was also served on the table and not on separate tables. There were menus of food printed and placed on the tables as well.
The biggest difference was the seating arrangement at the wedding. Unlike in Pakistan where you can pick any table to sit on the wedding, this one had a seating plan. You had to look at the seating chart and see where your seat would be. I was sat next to my friends from university which also added to the memories.
