If you don't already know, Locked Folder is a newly announced feature that lets you hide sensitive photos in your Google Photos account. With this feature, you can move any of your photos to a secret folder.

But there are some limitations. If you don’t know, you can lost your important photos.
Number 1: No backup option
If you accidentally delete any photos from locked folder, it will be permanently deleted. You can’t recover it from anywhere of this app.
So, this is a big disadvantages of this app.
Number 2: No online Backup
Google photos is an online apps. Generally we backup our photos in google photos app. So, if you lost your phone, or change your phone, you can get all photos and video to your new phone by login your google account.
But do you know, you will not get any photos from locked folder.
Yes! A newly learned major limitation with this feature is that the feature is only capable of hiding photos locally. What this means is that, when you hide a photo with this feature, your photo is downloaded locally to your phone and then moved to the secret folder.
The photo gets removed from your main Google Photos library and across all your Photos-enabled devices.
So, before changing your phone, make sure you move all photos from locked folder to direct Google photos app.
