In this tutorial you are going to learn how to convert a PSD to JPEG which can be very useful if you have been sent a PSD file but don't have the expensive Photoshop software that can open that file type.
Step # 1 -- Uploading the PSD to a Conversion Website
The easiest way to do this is going to be online. Visit the website "www.zamzar.com" and on the page that loads click on the "Choose Files" button, select the PSD file from your computer and it will open. In the drop down menu in step 2 select JPEG and then enter your email address in step 3, finally click "Convert".
Step # 2 -- Waiting for the Upload to Complete
The upload of the file will begin and you just need to wait for this to complete. This can take some time if the file is particularly large -- as is often the case with PSD files. Once the upload has finished the site will say "File upload complete".
Step # 3 -- Downloading the Converted File
You now need to go to your inbox and open the message from "Zamzar Conversions". In this email click on the long blue link that can be found beneath the blue box. A new page will open and you just need to click the green "download now" button and the file will be saved to your computer. When it has finished you can simply click on it and you will see your jpeg file open. That is the simple process for converting a PSD to JPEG.
