Activists want more effort in preventing animal abuse

There's a growing controversy in Baltimore City involving its Anti-Animal Abuse Advisory Commission. Activists blame Mayor Brandon Scott for its inactivity. Now, city council is considering a bill that would set at least two meeting times per year. Caroline Griffin is the former chair of the mayor's Anti-Animal Abuse Advisory Commission. She said forcing the commission to meet at least twice a year is a start, but is a far cry from the work the group did in the past.
