Howard letterpress prints a flag worth waving for Flag Day (June 14)
June 14th is Flag Day! This day commemorates the adoption of the stars and stripes by the Continental Congress on June 14, 1777.
For today, Howard makes a good impression from a hand carved woodcut made about 130 years ago. The small woodcut is from the Lewis Winter Collection that we have in our print shop exhibit at the Sacramento History Museum.
