SPANISH words Look Same DIFFERENT meaning | When the ACCENT MARK (la tílde) matters
In this lesson I will explain to you WHY is it important to write the accent mark in Spanish language. I will go over 25 words that sound completely identical but there is a small difference in how they are written and this difference is that one word will have the ACCENT MARK over the stressed syllable and the other word won't have it.
These words might look "almost" identical and sound the same BUT they aren't! Remember that it is extremely important for you to write the ACCENT MARK or la tílde, because it does matter that you write it. If you don't you will change the meaning of the word!!!!
This ACCENT MARK is called "la tílde diacrítica" because it's purpose is to allow us to DISTINGUISH words. Imagine if there wouldn't be any accent on these words, we wouldn't know sometimes which word is used.
