Portrait sketching easy: 9. Measuring proportions
Measuring proportions is the process of analyzing how many times one part of an object fits into another part. After we have built the general schematic markup for the head, the second step is to check this scheme against the shape of the real person's head that we are going to draw. We need to measure the main proportions of the model in order to understand: they coincide or differ from our schematic markup.
