In this tutorial, learn how to create a RING LIGHT effect in Adobe Photoshop, using a custom shape, layer styles, and blending tweaks.

Tools used in this tutorial:
Custom Shape Tool: To create the 'ring light' reflection, the "Donut" shape was used, which can be found using the Custom Shape Tool. You may need to load in additional shapes if you don't see it. The Rectangle Tool was then used to cut out a hole at the bottom of the reflection.
Layer Styles: If you're looking to add effects to your layers, you'll likely want to use Layer Styles. Whether it's an outer glow, a few shadows, or a bevel to give it depth, the possibilities are endless!
Layer Masks: If there's an area of your layer that you wish to hide (or bring back), Layer Masks will help you do that. Painting using a black brush will hide portions of the layer, and painting with a white brush will reveal them.
