Review of the Gator FrameWorks Desk Mounted Pro Broadcast Boom Arm. And, we compare it to the RODE PSA1 Mic Boom Arm.
#Microphones #Podcasting
The Gator Frame Works Mic Boom Arm is a tubular design (not scissor), spring-loaded, has tension adjustment knobs, includes 2 mounts, and a 10' XLR cable.
The XLR cable is pre-installed in the boom arm, so everything looks super clean.
This mic boom arm has a 4.4lb weight capacity and supports mics up to 3.5 pounds (that's really heavy for a mic for those wondering).
The FrameWorks arm easily supports mics like the Shure SM7B, Rode Procaster, Rode Broadcaster, Shure SM58, Audio-Technica AT2020, condensers with shock mounts and more.
Whether you are podcasting, gaming, streaming, are making YouTube videos, a nice microphone boom arm can come in handy, and the Gator FrameWorks does not disappoint.
It's very quiet, holds heavy mics, easy to adjust, easy to lock down, and looks very clean. It's worth considering if you are looking for a mic boom arm.
