Phase is a term used to describe the position of one sound wave relative to another sound wave. When there is a time delay between two waves forms those wave forms are said to be out of phase. In this video recording engineer Keith Kaufman explains how phasing can affect your session and how to prevent phasing from occurring during the recording and mixing stages.
