It seems to me that this song conveys a twofold concept of LOVE: the love for another human being and the love for music.
I tried to express these ideas through my choice of photos, taking into account both the lyrics (which clearly mention a love story in Aranjuez) and Joaquín Rodrigo's claim about the role of Aranjuez in composing his work: the "Maestro" explicitly said that he composed his "Concierto" during his stay at Aranjuez and that the flowers' fragrance, the cool and clear water of the fountains, and the green trees in Aranjuez' gardens inspired his music.
Spanish teachers can use this song in a FL class about presente y pretérito indefinido. If students want to sing it again, the 'real' karaoke • Sing-along karaoke - En Aranjuez con ...
is a nice challenge for them!
However, to best appreciate the music, I suggest Narciso Yepes' or Paco de Lucía's interpretation, or, even better, Rémi Boucher's solo guitar.
