Why YOU NEED the Canon RF 50mm F/1.8 lens!!!
If you're like me, you like to do a lot of research before you make a purchasing decision regardless of how small or large the price is. Ultimately, i made the decision to order the Canon RF 50mm lens F/1.8 also known as the Nifty Fifty.
I have used the EF Canon 50mm lens in the past, but ultimately sold it when i switched over to the Canon EOS R and purchased L series lenses. To my surprise, the Canon RF 50mm lens provided stellar results immediately. Most of my shots in this video were shot at f/2.8 and only at that aperture because i don't like shooting wide open. I like to capture a bit more sharpness which is why my aperture was at f/2.8.
There's several reasons why I immediately loved the Canon RF 50mm lens. One of those reasons is portability. Portability is not an issue with such a tiny form factor like this lens. You can throw it in your camera bag and not notice that it's even there.
Secondly, i have to go back to the details. The sharpness of the RF 50mm lens is insane!!! I was able to get crispy, detailed shots with my subject and still get nice bokeh in the background. What's not to love about all that?
Overall, the Canon RF 50mm lens is a powerhouse that is easily portable and lightweight. I highly recommend beginners or even experienced photographers to have this in their tool kit.
