STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE (5 step guide summary)
STEP 1 - SET UP OCULUS ACCOUNT AS A DEVELOPER ACCOUNT
Create an organisation name for your oculus account at https://dashboard.oculus.com
STEP 2 - INSTALL ADB DRIVERS (Windows only)
Download drivers from https://developer.oculus.com/download...
Install the 'android_winusb.inf' file from the downloaded file
STEP 3 - ACTIVATE DEVELOPER MODE ON THE OCULUS QUEST
From the Oculus Quest settings within the Oculus Quest app on your phone, in the devices 'Settings', turn 'developer mode' on, and 'unlock pattern' off
Turn the Oculus Quest off and back on again
STEP 4 - DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL SIDEQUEST ON YOUR PC
Downoad and install Sidequest from https://sidequestvr.com
Start Sidequest and 'Sign up' for an account
STEP 5 - CONNECT OCULUS QUEST
With Sidequest still running, connect the USB cable between your Oculus Quest and the PC. The Sidequest will show a green 'Connected' status in the top left of the Sidequest screen when successfully connected.
