Israel strikes Gaza ‘safe zone,’ says it was targeting senior Hamas militants
Five Israeli missiles struck a beach encampment in the Gaza Strip, killing 19 people and injuring dozens more. The area was supposed to be a humanitarian safe zone, but Israel says it used ‘precise weapons’ to target senior Hamas militants in the attack.
