Virtual Desktop allows you to play PC VR games wirelessly on your Oculus Quest 2. Getting it set up though used to be a pain as it involved sideloading a patch to Virtual Desktop from SideQuest, which in itself requires you to create an oculus developer account. which itself needs verifying with a credit card or phone number, install some drivers on your PC, and a number of other steps! PHEW!
All that gets so much easier now with the latest release of Virtual Desktop. You no longer need the Virtual Desktop patch to get this working so you no longer need Sidequest or a developer account! So these super simple steps will get you set up and playing your first wireless PCVR game before you know it.
These steps work for the Quest 2 and the original Quest, so no matter which version you have, this will work for both.

VIRTUAL DESKTOP STEP-BY-STEP SET UP GUIDE
1. Install Virtual Desktop on Oculus Quest headset
2. Download VR Streamer app onto PC from vrdesktop.net
3. Run the VR Streamer app on the PC and add your Oculus Username to the app.
PLAY YOUR FIRST PC VR GAME
1. Connect PC and Quest to the same home network (preferably PC wired, and Quest over 5GHz).
2. Run VR Streamer App on the PC
3. Run the Virtual Desktop App on your Quest Headset.
4. Select a PCVR game from the menu in Virtual Desktop...and you're now playing your first PCVR game wirelessly! 😊
