The White Bird's Guidance Shrine Quest is completed by simply finding the Wao-os Shrine. Climbing to Vah Medoh's Perch and looking for the White Bird are not required.
The Proving Grounds are a series of Shrines that will take away our Weapons, Armor, and Items in order to see if we can fend for ourselves with the items given. This is very similar to the Master Trials DLC from Breath of the Wild.
