Task to handle exsistential crisis: imagine at which age you want to die and write down this number. Imagine with wich feeling, mood, circumstances you want to die. Try to immerse yourself into this feeling as deeply as possible and try to imagine reality of this moment.
Then link your current point (age and circumstances) with that you want to find yourself in the end of your life. Afterwards you can divide fraction of your life between these 2 points into equal timespans (like decades), and make a plan for these timespans: what do you need to do to get into desirable state before death.
To avoid exsistential crisis (i.e. feeling, that your life have gone somewhere wrong or you are just confused and you dont't know where to go), it is necessary to know yourself - who am I?
To do that you need to think and try to understand, which primary emotions are most prevailing for you.
Every person's prevailing emotions may be energy of their life, e.i. force that is being motivation in their life.
Also, for better understanding of yourself , "remembering" yourself you should look at your childhood photos and remember excactly those events that were accompained with feeling of self-counciousness and consolidation, consonance with your identity. Typically, these events are accompained with emotion of exploring and wonder.
Those events and memories, that represent our true selfhood, may be abstractedly lined up, that brought us to that point where we are now. But keep in my mind, that trajectory of our movement was affected by sensitive and chronic stressful events , which make us go in a wrong direction.
Memory about death helps us to straighten this line- memento mori.
