In this Davinci Resolve Bloom Effect Tutorial, I will show you how I use the glow effect in Davinci to emulate the natural highlight film look. Film has a beautiful way of dealing with blown out highlights or clipped specular highlights, and this effect helps your digital footage do that.
I go over 2 ways that I like to use this tool. The first is when fixing overexposed highlights. This is helpful when your sky is clipping and you want to blend the clipped highlights to the detail. The other way is by giving your image an overall bloom/glow effect. This is similar to the look you get when using a diffusion filter such as the CineBloom filter or Black Pro-Mist filter.
