In this video I’ll take you step-by-step through some of the most basic command line commands: Open, ls, and cd. Before we begin you should know that when we talk about a “directory” we just mean a folder on your computer. For some reason in the world of the command line directory = folder. And so when we talk about “changing directories” all we mean is “moving in and out of folders.” Not so scary right?

Commands we will learn:

Open — will open a new window.

ls — stands for “list” and we use it to display a list of every file in a folder

cd — stands for change directory. We use cd to move in and out of folders.

Follow along with the video, and you’ll be writing commands in no time! If you have any questions please just leave a comment.
