Temperature is the average kinetic energy of the particles of a sample. There are three common scales used to measure temperature: Fahrenheit, Celsius, and Kelvin. In chemistry, we use Celsius and Kelvin — not Fahrenheit! This video will show you why two main scales exist in chemistry and how to convert measurements between the two scales.
