A young border guard, Sergeant Farrukh, loves Izhran, a girl from a neighboring village. Father Izhran does not believe in the seriousness of the young man's intentions and forbids his daughter to meet with him. But when he saw Farrukh in action, when detaining border violators, he changes his attitude towards the border guard. Farrukh pursues the intruder. The collapse drives both into the gorge. The violator tells about his life, and the sergeant recognizes in him his father, whom he considered dead at the front...
