✉️ 🤷🏻♂️ Do you know how ‘Envelopes’ work in Adobe Illustrator?
An envelope is a container that you can put other objects or shapes in and then manipulate that envelope to distort whatever is inside. This means we can always double-click in and edit our original shape (or text).
Just go to ‘Object’ - ‘Envelope Distort’ for three main options:
1. Make With WarpThis brings up a dialogue box where you can play with some out of the box effects to make some pretty uniform manipulations
2. Make With Mesh This applies nodes to your envelope which you can then tweak with the direct selection tool [A]
3. Make With Top ObjectThis allows you to make your own envelope shape, and then you can tweak with the pen tool or direct selection tool, and even overlap sections.
