In NBC’s new show, 'Better Late Than Never,' Jeff Dye is definitely not the odd man out. He’s the odd man in, as the youngest member of an older traveling troupe that tours Asia on their own terms. As the tour guide, he shares adventures and insights with the four adventurers: Terry Bradshaw, William Shatner, Henry Winkler and George Foreman.

Per the network: “Four American Icons. One month in Asia. What could possibly go wrong?”

Watch and see. If you’re looking for something serious, this eclectic comedy isn’t going to be your first stop, but if you want to see how these 70s icons are doing now, don’t miss this outing. The show is based upon a South Korean series called Grandpas Over Flowers and these characters don’t hold back when it comes to saying what they think. Yes, you might think of the bucket list stereotype, and that’s perfectly fine. You’ll still enjoy the ways it’s played.

As Deadline wrote recently, “In a year where there’s been way too much filler on the Big 4, the one-hour BLTN may be the most watchable network filler of 2016—which is a feat and a compliment.”

Friends Until the End

At the NBC Universal Summer 2016 TCA Press Tour, Jeff talked about what it was like to (try to) guide the fabulous four. As the show’s promo says, the guys set out with no assistants, no limousines and no lattes, in search of an intimate, life-changing experience with friendship as the backbone.

We recently saw Jeff, age 33, in NBC’s I Can Do That. He’s a popular comedian who’s touring now, and he makes no bones about being a prankster and a Bigfoot enthusiast. He pegged a third place on NBC’s Last Comic Standing early in his career, and for sure, he is still standing tall. Jeff also had two shows of his own and has appeared in other projects along the way to BLTN.

He has a warm, positive and funny vibe, and he feels like a friend. Watch what he says about life and laughter here in this new video.
